Ravenhill Raises £2,000 for Friends of ANCHOR

Ravenhill Ltd has raised £2,000 for Friends of ANCHOR through its Charity Super Soak Showdowns at Turriff and Keith Shows.

The Charity Super Soak Showdown brought plenty of fun to both shows, with generous donations from visitors, customers and supporters helping Ravenhill raise a fantastic total for the charity.

Vanessa Walker from Friends of ANCHOR visited Ravenhill this week to accept the cheque. The donation will support the charity’s work with people affected by cancer and blood disorders across the north and north-east of Scotland.

The ANCHOR Unit (Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy), based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, comprises specialist wards and clinics providing cancer and haematology care for patients across the region. Donations help Friends of ANCHOR continue its work supporting patients and their families.

A special mention goes to Ravenhill customer Ian McRae, who joined in the fun at Turriff Show. Earlier this year, Ian took part in the Brave Catwalk and has experienced first-hand the care, support and kindness provided by Friends of ANCHOR. He continues to fundraise and raise awareness of the charity’s important work.

Ravenhill would like to thank everyone who donated, took part and helped make the Super Soak Showdowns such a success. The £2,000 raised reflects the generosity and support of everyone who got involved at both shows.
